Potomac River

A fundraiser for the Potomac River is being held on April 23. As two major climbing areas for Washington D.C. residents are on the Potomac (Great Falls and Carderock), this is a great cause to help protect the river.

Want to learn more about the challenges facing the Potomac River and what you can do to help? Join us on Saturday, April 23 from 9 AM – 4 PM for our open house bash and fundraiser to celebrate and protect the Potomac River! Our goal is to have fun and raise funds! The event is free and open to the public with a suggested $10 donation to enter. All proceeds go to non-profits that protect the River.

  1. Stay away from potomac watersports. They are very free with guarantees before they have your money, and when they get it they forget everything they said and suddenly the nice treatment is over. I wouldnt attend any event they hold, and for gods sake dont give them any money– if you do you will be lucky to get what you paid for.

  2. hmm I take that back, they were just not getting my emails. I contacted them and they were actually very nice. I retract!

  3. That’s good to hear. I’ve never bought anything from them so no input on my part. I guess the lesson learned is that not every company uses email seriously yet.
